Rae is known for her expressive, richly coloured and abstracted landscape paintings. Her work is most often inspired by long periods spent in different landscape environments which she then distils and translates into multi-layered works. Having travelled and made studies on site, she brings this knowledge back to her studio to create finished paintings, full of the memory of the place.
