Ewan McClure, born 1975

Ewan Mclure was born in 1975 in Scotland. He earned a BA Honours degree from Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen in the late nineties. Along the way, he has amassed a slew of awards and collectors, and his involvement in the BP Portrait Award has gained him national recognition. Ewan McClure is a well-known and highly regarded artist who has exhibited throughout the nation and in a number of prestigious galleries, including the Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh. He is a painter with a strong connection to the past of belle peinture. Ewan's fast-paced, realistic portraiture has been in high demand both in the UK and overseas. He was a finalist in the 2013 BP Portrait Award and was nominated for the coveted Conversations Prize for a multi-figure painting at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters in 2015.
