Grassie likes collecting and classifying, and series and sequences of any kind. Mrs & Mrs Makesack-Leitch's House is from a series of paintings of Scottish Houses in which he reduces art to a simple mechanical reproduction of the banal. Grassie mimics the bland 1950s postcard images of suburbia. The effect is a chilling look at the soulless environments of the second half of the twentieth century.
