Ian Scott, born 1940
Ian Scott is a painter and sculptor who was born in Ronaldsay, Orkney Islands, in 1940. In 1961–1962, he completed postgraduate work at Gray's School of Art in Aberdeen where he trained under Leo Clegg. Among the awards received were the RSA's Benno Schotz Prize in 1966 and the Latimer Award in 1965. In 1972, Scott was appointed a member of RBS. displayed at individual exhibitions, the Scottish Arts Council, the Graves Art Gallery in Sheffield, and other venues.
