Patrick is best known for her paintings of flowers, fruit, landscape, children and gardens. Her work is about seizing the moment, capturing in paint the fragile and transient quality of flowers in full bloom, ripening fruit or the fleeting effects of sunlight on a landscape.

Ann Patrick, born 1937
Born in Dundee, Patrick is the daughter of the landscape painter James McIntosh Patrick. She studied at Duncan Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee and Hospitalfield in Arbroath, Angus. In 1958 she made the first of many visits to Italy. She now lives and works in Arbroath and was married to the painter Richard Hunter until his death in 2014.
