Henry John Kinnaird, 1861-1929
Henry John Kinnaird, born in 1861, was a British artist. Kinnaird was primarily a landscape and rural scene painter who was influenced by the artist John Hooper. He exhibited frequently in London, particularly at The Royal Academy and The Royal Society of British Artists. Kinnaird painted in both watercolours and oils in a broad, naturalistic style similar to John Horace Hooper, but he became a well-known watercolour artist during his lifetime. In and around Surrey and Sussex, he frequently painted harvest scenes. He Lived near Lewis, Sussex. In 1929, he died on February 26 at Old Cottage in Ringmer.
